Ikwan Kim

Hello there! I'm Professor Dr. Ikwan Kim, and it's a pleasure to introduce myself. I have always been fascinated by the convergence of engineering, culture technology, and landscape architecture, and my academic journey reflects this passion.

I earned my Doctor of Engineering degree from the esteemed Graduate School of Culture Technology at KAIST, where I delved into cutting-edge research and innovation. This journey has allowed me to explore the limitless possibilities of combining technology and culture to create truly immersive experiences.

I also hold a Master of Landscape Architecture degree from Seoul National University, where I learned to appreciate the beauty and importance of designing natural and virtual landscapes. My education in landscape architecture provided a solid foundation for my future endeavors in the gaming world.

With my Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture from Kyung Hee University, I acquired the essential skills to design harmonious and captivating landscapes. Combining my landscape architecture knowledge with my engineering background has been a gratifying experience, enabling me to craft visually stunning virtual environments that captivate gamers worldwide.

As a level design consultant, I've had the incredible opportunity to work with renowned gaming companies such as XLGames, NetMarble Monster, KRAFTONE, and more. Collaborating with these talented teams has allowed me to contribute to the creation of immersive gaming experiences that players truly cherish.

Beyond my academic and gaming pursuits, I have a unique interest in the world of K9 training. I am a Certificated Police K9 trainer in the United States, which brings a balance of camaraderie and connection with living beings into my life.

I find joy in sharing my knowledge with students, mentoring them to embrace innovation and creativity. I believe that open-mindedness and collaboration are key to unlocking new possibilities in the realms of culture technology, landscape architecture, and gaming.
